Purple Tooth Pediatric Dentistry & Braces
Calm, playful dental care and in-house braces for kids, from the first tooth to the teen years.
At Purple Tooth Dental
Dr. Jon has set out to perfect the patient experience. The team here at Purple Tooth Dental delivers an experience unlike anything you’ve ever experienced before. The office is designed to be relaxing for the entire family. We have your classic large rooms for the older children, and we
have seperate sections designed for families looking for a more child focused ambiance.
The goal of our office design is to calm our patients, and eleminate the fear and anxiety that is tradionally associated with going to the dentist.Under one roof, Dr. Jon and our team provide pediatric dentistry from a baby’s first tooth through the teen years, braces and clear aligners, and tongue-tie and lip-tie release. We’re in-network with Delta Dental and accept Medicaid, and our dental insurance page explains exactly what that covers.
Early visits matter. According to the CDC’s 2024 Oral Health Surveillance Report, nearly 1 in 5 children ages 6 to 8 has at least one untreated cavity in their baby teeth. Regular checkups help us find small problems early, while they are easier to treat.
Our infant oral health exams welcome children as soon as that first tooth appears, and we continue with cleanings, exams, and preventive care as your child grows. When the time is right, we offer traditional braces and clear aligners in the same office your family already knows.
Checkups, cleanings, fillings, and preventive care in a setting built for kids, including kids’ exams and cleanings.
Metal braces, self-ligating braces, and aligners for kids and teens, with teen orthodontics and cleanings handled at the same visit.
Gentle evaluation for babies and children when a tie or breathing pattern affects feeding, sleep, or speech, including an airway evaluation.

Get their own Happy Room
Parents tell us the small details make the biggest difference. Here is what sets our office apart.
Children ages one to three get their exams in our Happy Room for toddlers, a space with a couch, games, and nothing that looks like a dental office. Kids play while we talk with parents, so they stay relaxed and often do not realize they are at the dentist.
Some offices refer many children to the hospital for dental work. We try in-office treatment first whenever it is a safe option, and many children can complete their care right here in a familiar setting.
Because Dr. Jon provides braces in our pediatric office, we can often pair orthodontic adjustments with cleanings. Families may save 7 to 10 visits over the course of treatment, which means fewer trips and less missed school.
Dr. Jon lived abroad for more than eight years in Spain, Mexico, and across Latin America, and he speaks Spanish fluently. Most of our team speaks Spanish too, so families can ask questions in the language they are most comfortable with.
Dr. Jonathan Kaczmarski, DMD, known to families as Dr. Jon, graduated from UNC and later completed a pediatric dental residency in New York. His training covered complex pediatric cases, patient safety, sedation, behavior management, and orthodontics, including full braces cases with the orthodontics department.
He has presented on pediatric restorations in English and Spanish at the International Association of Paediatric Dentistry in Mexico (2019) and South Africa (2025), and at the Latin American Association of Pediatric Dentists in El Salvador (2020). He also helped create WakeSmiles, a volunteer dental office in Raleigh.
